CHILDREN’S DIRECTOR responsibilities

Our hope is that our Children’s Director would establish a thriving program that cares for and teaches children the word of God, and partners with families in discipling their children. Additionally, we hope our Children’s Director will train and lead an excited team of volunteers.

The Grace Kids Ministry has been experiencing enormous growth in the past two years. On an average Sunday, we now see 120+ kids and we are currently having a baby boom! We are looking for a strong and organized leader to scale our program to support the growing needs. Ideally, we would love to hire someone with prior Children’s Ministry experience. Additionally, in 2025 we are planning to completely renovate our Kids Ministry space on our church campus. Our new Director may be able to give some input into the vision for the new space.

MEET GRACE CHURCH
Grace Church has served North Park and San Diego with the Gospel for over 100 years. We are passionate about the church being a family on mission with a vibrant Sunday gathering filled with missionary people making disciples and living in community during the week.
Grace San Diego was established in 1912. The church has a wonderful history which included, under the leadership of Dr. Tim LaHaye, the founding of Christian High School, Christian Heritage College (Now San Diego Christian College) and Institute for Creation Research. Grace, for several years, was known as “Scott Memorial Baptist” before the name was changed to Grace Church San Diego in 2009.
In December of 2021, Josh Martin came to Grace as the new Lead Pastor. Since then, he has collaborated with the Staff and Elder Team to implement many notable changes including the launch of House Churches, the start of Equip Classes, and a new approach to expository preaching that focuses on a single book of the Bible for an entire year.
Since 2021, our church attendance has more than doubled. Over the last few years our elders and staff have refocused the vision to: Making Resilient Disciples who reorient their lives to the way of Jesus.
We have also made major renovations to our church property by putting in a Counseling Center that serves our neighborhood community, and renovating meeting spaces and the church office. In 2025 there are plans to renovate the Kids Ministry space. Today, we continue to grow with a strong foundation on Biblical truth and a focus on being family on mission.
